A little information about the Jack Russell breed:

The Jack Russell Terrier is a small, energetic breed known for its intelligence, agility, and fun personality! Originating in England in the early 19th century, the breed was developed by Reverend John Russell, an avid fox hunter, who sought to create a working terrier that could keep up with foxhounds during hunts.

Jack Russells are renowned for their endless energy and playful nature, making them excellent pets for active families. Their intelligence and eagerness to learn make them highly trainable, although they can be stubborn at times. They excel in various dog sports, including agility, flyball, and obedience. Their strong prey drive and natural hunting instincts can sometimes lead them to chase small animals, so they require early socialisation and consistent training. Despite their small size, they are fearless and assertive, often showing a fearless attitude towards larger dogs! (I witnessed one causing a Great Dane to back down!)

Socially, Jack Russells are known for being affectionate with their families but can be reserved or wary around strangers. They generally get along well with children if raised together, but due to their high energy levels, supervision is recommended. This breed requires ample exercise and mental stimulation to prevent boredom-related behaviours such as digging and barking. Regular playtime and walks are essential for their well-being.
